零三年獨立精神獎最佳處女電影。小小鬼當家和艾米爾賀許與另外兩位雜魚是教會學校死小鬼，老師乃嚴厲修女兼製片茱蒂佛斯特。放學除了穿制服騎單車、抽抽煙喝喝酒、挑戰權威肖像、移動國家野生動物，他們最大課外活動就是漫畫創作。

人物設定與現實生活各有對照：藤蔓人 (Brakken)、大塊頭 (The Muscle)、踢屁屁隊長 (Captain Asskicker)、電鑽少校 (Major Screw) 組成原子三位一體 (Atomic Trinity)，將敵人的大便打得滿地都是、使用看起來像 47 但實際上是 69 姿勢搞敵人寶貝之餘， 還得協助莎羅拉 (Sorcerella) 重建被魔頭修吉拉 (Nunzilla) 毀滅的家園。

小小鬼當家和艾米爾賀許互動相當典型，前者是不時透露死亡氣息，喋喋不休愛挖苦人的可愛迷人配角，寫情書給女孩，妹卻給看重友情比較沒魅力的善良主角在把。(同性戀傾向？)

Kieran Culkin 在【玩酷子弟，又譯：伊比的墮落】令人心碎的哭喊猶言在耳，他和 Emile Hirsch 都是大學年紀還在演國中生的老不羞，但兩者最大不同，就是賀許日後有機會演出西恩潘電影，博取可能最年輕奧斯卡影帝美名；小小鬼當家只能繼續裝年輕，或戴 假髮 扮麥克彼特，哈哈。

珍妮馬龍在【神啊！救救我吧！】和小小鬼當家兄，麥考利克金，合作；於【接觸未來】飾演童年時期茱蒂佛斯特。好懷念以前穿制服的年代，只要頭髮跟鞋子帥一點，(與女高校生約會) 就可以很趴了。

大塊頭是漫畫中唯一俱備二段進化能力的英雄， 終極戰役被敵人咬傷後皮開肉綻，索性脫去血肉，變身骷髏頭 (Skeleton Boy) 拾起寶劍繼續奮戰。

骷髏頭缺點為無老二 (dickless)，因為他沒有皮膚。
