tasteful, tasteless, tasty (adjs.)
Tasteful means“giving evidence of good taste, of good judgment about appearance or design, and the like”: The study had tasteful furnishings.
Tasty means“flavorful, good to savor or taste on the tongue”: She served a wonderfully tasty lunch.
Tasteless is the antonym of both tasteful and tasty: The tasteless furnishings were all gifts of her family. The vegetables were boiled to a tasteless mush.
