丈夫為了迎娶年輕的安妮，不惜以牧師身份替被指控女巫的安妮之母脫罪，原本以為會繼續宗教自省的主題，沒想到兒子居然與年輕不少的繼母安妮發展出賞心悅目的情愫，最後再以安妮被指控女巫作為結束，最後一部德萊葉，最餘韻蕩迴的德萊葉，最喜歡的德萊葉。( 葛楚也只好退居第二 )

兒子很像年輕的 Dennis Hopper。

片尾的十字架上頭多了兩撇，變成類似雨傘的符號，是有關邪教或撒旦意味的象徵嗎？
