The concubine (Sei Ashina) has even less presence and impact, though she's ostensibly the ultimate temptation. All we know is that she likes to bathe in an ice-fringed lake, which makes for a pretty picture. But to drive a man to the ends of the Earth? Oh, please. The silkworms in this film look faster and more motivated.
